visit

Was an interesting afternoon. I know I enjoyed watching the interviews and the camera people and hand-shaking as much as anything. I got to shake hands with Gov. Doyle on his way out of the building, and I DID manage to say "Nice to meet you. Thanks for coming up to see us" without my voice squeaking too much, and one of his aides took a picture of us. Hehehehe, I photograph SOOO badly....

It was interesting to see the minor circus that surrounds this--security people, camera people, etc. Char and I went out to the entry after all the speeches and spent a little time talking with the two state troopers who were doing security. They said this was actually a very SMALL gathering, and it was BIG news for my little town.
