Staff: Senator hospitalized with stroke-like symptoms - CNN.com
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Sen. Tim Johnson, D-South Dakota, was hospitalized Wednesday after he suffered stroke-like symptoms in his Washington office, his staff said. Johnson, who turns 60 on December 28, was taken to George Washington University Hospital by ambulance about 11:30 a.m., sources in his office said..... .....Should Johnson not be able to complete his term, which ends in 2008, South Dakota Gov. Mike Rounds, a Republican, could appoint his replacement, which could shift the balance of power in the Senate.
And yes, I know I have been absent lately....it's just been a busy week here in the freezing/raining/snowy/sunny/warm north. (Take your pick on the weather; we've had at least one day of each this week)

I know the feeling. When I worked in the Depots, I just felt like an ant. When one ant fell out of line, another one just pushes him out of the way and keeps going. At leat in my current job, if anything happened to me I could rest knowing that the office would be temporarily paralyzed. Then they would have to fight to see who could AVOID my work load instead of who gets it. LOLOLOL

It reminds me of how the people at work think. We've had people that have quit/heart attacked/died--and the first thing they all do is run for the schedule to see who gets the permanent seniority setup. <br /> I was absolutely horrified the first few times I saw that happen, but now it's actually kinda comforting to know that at least my death would spark a conversation about who gets my job, lol.

Poor guy, The media vultures are circling over his hospital bed. I am conservative but I sure hope this guy recovers. It just ticks me off that all rhe media can think about is how this could impact politics.
