In his speech, the pope quoted 14th-century Byzantine emperor Manuel II Paleologus who said: "Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached."
Like forcing two American journalist hostages to convert to Islam at gunpoint, maybe????? Nah, they didn't use swords. Not even comparable.

Bingo. Nothing like the obvious. This is the 'big lie' -- and (unbelievably?) it is the bulk of world public opinion. How can it be that there is such blindness to the obvious?<br /> Here's to disgraceful old age! <br /> Vicktorya
