Look out, they want your money, but the name thing is kinda fun!
Your First Name of: Laurie * Your name of Laurie gives you a very happy-go-lucky, spontaneous nature. * You see the humorous side of many situations and can laugh at yourself as well as at others.
Yup, I have to beat them to it!!
* This name gives you a musical, artistic nature and you would do well in any occupation in the entertainment field. * You have many friends because of your generous, happy nature, but if crossed you have a quick temper, although your annoyance does not last too long. * You do enjoy an argument and will at times say things just to get others going and then you sit back and enjoy the debate.
They don't have *me* pegged at all, do they? :-"
* You lack system and order and find it very difficult to budget and save money.
See above smart, self-deprecating remark.
* Although the name Laurie creates idealism and the urge to help others, we emphasize that it frustrates you through a scattered and emotional nature. * This name, when combined with the last name, can frustrate happiness, contentment, and success, as well as cause health weaknesses in the nervous system, liver, and bloodstream.
I'm thinking it's not really worth the $35 to get the bad news about my liver.

Surfing around and came across this site, which as far as my mathmatically-challenged brain can figure out, is a site which attempts to discover music in math algorithms. Kinda fun to listen to the sometimes very odd tunes. Especially for somebody who, face it, has trouble balancing the checkbook without a computer. Confession time. When I saw the name "WolframTones", first thing I thought was not of mathmatics and music, but to wonder how a webpage would get music out of a long-dead Irish Republican. Think I've been reading too many history books lately? WolframTones
WolframTones works by taking simple programs from Wolfram's computational universe, and using music theory and Mathematica algorithms to render them as music. Each program in effect defines a virtual world, with its own special story--and WolframTones captures it as a musical composition. It's all original music--fresh from "mining" Wolfram's computational universe. Sometimes it's reminiscent of familiar musical styles; sometimes it's like nothing ever heard before. But from just the tiniest corner of the computational universe WolframTones can make everyone on Earth their own unique cellphone ringtone. It's a taste of what it's like to explore the computational universe--and a hint what's to come...

Courtesy of Michele at A Small Victory , another interesting meme.
A.) Go to musicoutfitters.com B.) Enter the year you graduated from high school in the search function and get the list of 100 most popular songs of that year C.) Bold the songs you like, strike through the ones you hate and underline your favorite. Do nothing to the ones you don't remember (or don't care about).
As I went through this list, a couple of things struck me. I must REALLY dislike any variation of the BeeGees/ Gibb family. I struck through every single BeeGee/ Andy Gibb song. -- words and music by Eric Idle -- Some things in life are bad They can really make you mad Other things just make you swear and curse. When you're chewing on life's gristle Don't grumble, give a whistle And this'll help things turn out for the best... And...always look on the bright side of life... Always look on the light side of life... If life seems jolly rotten There's something you've forgotten And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing. When you're feeling in the dumps Don't be silly chumps Just purse your lips and whistle - that's the thing. And...always look on the bright side of life... Always look on the light side of life... For life is quite absurd And death's the final word You must always face the curtain with a bow. Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow. So always look on the bright side of death Just before you draw your terminal breath Life's a piece of shit When you look at it Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true. You'll see it's all a show Keep 'em laughing as you go Just remember that the last laugh is on you. And always look on the bright side of life... Always look on the right side of life... (Come on guys, cheer up!) Always look on the bright side of life... Always look on the bright side of life... (Worse things happen at sea, you know.) Always look on the bright side of life... (I mean - what have you got to lose?) (You know, you come from nothing - you're going back to nothing. What have you lost? Nothing!) Always look on the right side of life...
