Still trying to recover from the weekend, lol--although in this case, it's going to take awhile. There were a lot of highs and lows, from the incredible high of seeing everyone again to a semi-low of RAIN RAIN RAIN RAIN.... emotional highs and lows --the rollercoaster I never was able to ride before. I think maybe I can cross #4 off the list now. This was a highlight--just LOOK at all of us!! 77 and 78 and this was a moving moment for me, finally seeing this just a few hours before my plane left: wall (Did I mention it rained?)

wetDC and then there's this--although they really don't bother me. It's just a little disconcerting watching them fly by so low. I can almost see the pilots on some of these planes! plane

This is the coolest program I've seen in quite awhile!! My town is in the center of the pic, and work is down in the lower left. The resolution isn't the greatest for this area, but I suppose they didn't want pictures of individual trees. town One of the houses I lived in out in Maryland: bowie Hmmmm, Waldorf seems to be at the edge of good resolution, and I can't even find the Port Tobacco house, although I can picture the road to it: st. Charles Then, we have Wales--I haven't a clue where the house was, since I didn't really live there. hwest This is where I lived then: LCHS Lotsa fun playing with this program!!

Last year, at my class reunion in Texas, Rick gave me a packet of stones from his jewelry-making days. I had a great time pawing through all the stones, and picking out a few of them. ( "oooooh...shiny!!" ;-) ) My birthstone is opal, so I grabbed a couple of those, as well as some sapphires, amethyst, and tinytinytiny diamonds. When I came back to Cheese-land, I gave them to another jewelry-making friend, telling him to surprise me. This is the result: ring1 Now, I am no expert on jewelry, but I think it is SO pretty. It's gaudy and gorgeous--and BLUE and PURPLE. I especially like the thick twisted silver that goes around the back of the ring. Mmmmmm, silver--can't wait till it starts to darken. Isn't this a cool memento of SA? Rick, you are the BEST.
