Winning Powerball Ticket Worth $340M Sold - Yahoo! News
DES MOINES, Iowa - All eyes were on Oregon, where someone bought the winning Powerball ticket worth $340 million. It was the largest jackpot in the game's history and the second-biggest lottery jackpot in U.S. history. The winning numbers drawn Wednesday evening were 7, 21, 43, 44, 49 and 29. Powerball officials said the winning ticket was sold somewhere in Oregon. They had no other information. Forty-seven tickets sold matched the first five numbers drawn but failed to match the Powerball. They win $200,000 each, plus a bonus of $653,492. The odds of hitting all six numbers were 1 in 146 million.

cat Russians unveil radiator monument
Energy workers in Russia have marked the onset of the country's severe winter - with a monument to the world's first radiator. The sculpture, of a cat lying on a windowsill over a heater, was unveiled at a power station in the city of Samara, south-east of Moscow. The sculpture was crafted by local artist Nikolay Kuklev, who used the cat to create an impression of cosiness and comfort. "It is a monument to warmth, a monument to something that brings warmth and comfort. What could be better than that, particularly in winter?" he told NTV television in January.

Mugabe compares Bush, Blair to Hitler at UN event
ROME (Reuters) - Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe on Monday railed against U.S. President George W. Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair, calling them "international terrorists" bent on world domination like Adolf Hitler. Mugabe departed from his text at a ceremony marking the 60th anniversary of the United Nation's Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to accuse Bush and Blair of illegally invading Iraq and looking to unseat governments elsewhere. "Must we allow these men, the two unholy men of our millennium, who in the same way as Hitler and Mussolini formed (an) unholy alliance, formed an alliance to attack an innocent country?" he said. "The voice of Mr Bush and the voice of Mr Blair can't decide who shall rule in Zimbabwe, who shall rule in Africa, who shall rule in Asia, who shall rule in Venezuela, who shall rule in Iran, who shall rule in Iraq," he said.

Grumble, grumble.....
"Ferret out all the indications that the organizational/political bargaining models best describe U.S. decision-making policy toward Iraq prior to Iraq's invasion of Kuwait. "
What if I don't agree that they "best describe"?

Still trying to recover from the weekend, lol--although in this case, it's going to take awhile. There were a lot of highs and lows, from the incredible high of seeing everyone again to a semi-low of RAIN RAIN RAIN RAIN.... emotional highs and lows --the rollercoaster I never was able to ride before. I think maybe I can cross #4 off the list now. This was a highlight--just LOOK at all of us!! 77 and 78 and this was a moving moment for me, finally seeing this just a few hours before my plane left: wall (Did I mention it rained?)
