Hughes Supply | The Source Magazine truck
Quite simply, the Ford F-650 Super CrewZer is the largest truck you can drive with a standard Class E driver's license. That means any state- certified Tom, Dick or Harriet can climb the two-tiered running boards and slide behind the wheel of what is, essentially, a 3/4-scale Big Rig.
Now, THAT'S a truck!!! :-D

Pew Research Center Political Typology
Upbeat Based on your answers to the questionnaire, you most closely resemble survey respondents within the Upbeat typology group. This does not mean that you necessarily fit every group characteristic or agree with the group on all issues. Upbeats represent 11 percent of the American public, and 13 percent of registered voters. Basic Description Upbeats express positive views about the economy, government and society. Satisfied with their own financial situation and the direction the nation is heading, these voters support George W. Bush’s leadership in economic matters more than on social or foreign policy issues. Combining highly favorable views of government with equally positive views of business and the marketplace, Upbeats believe that success is in people’s own hands, and that businesses make a positive contribution to society. This group also has a very favorable view of immigrants. Defining Values Very favorable views of government performance and responsiveness defines the group, along with similarly positive outlook on the role of business in society. While most support the war in Iraq, Upbeats have mixed views on foreign policy – but most favor preemptive military action against countries that threaten the U.S. Religious, but decidedly moderate in views about social and cultural issues. Who They Are Relatively young (26% are under 30) and well-educated, Upbeats are the second wealthiest group after Enterprisers (39% have household incomes of $75,000 or more). The highest proportion of Catholics (30%) and white mainline Protestants (28%) of all groups, although fewer than half (46%) attend church weekly. Mostly white (87%), suburban, and married, they are evenly split between men and women. Lifestyle Notes High rate of stock ownership (42%, 2nd after Enterprisers). 2004 Election Bush 63%, Kerry 14%. Party ID 56% Independent/No Preference, 39% Republican, 5% Democrat (73% Rep/LeanRep) Media Use Upbeats are second only to Liberals in citing the internet as their main news source (34% compared with 23% nationwide); 46% also cite newspapers. No more or less engaged in politics than the national average.

JS Online: Long after Bolsheviks, the bikes are back
Harley opened its first dealership in Russia in 1913 in St. Petersburg, then the capital of the czarist empire, said Maxim Belousov, director of the Moscow outlet. That office was closed after the communist revolution. Harley will aim to sell about 200 motorcycles in Russia this year, Belousov said. The company plans to boost sales in coming years to less wealthy individuals by arranging for consumer loans.

memory of the camps
Sixty years ago, in the spring of 1945, Allied forces liberating Europe found evidence of atrocities which have tortured the world's conscience ever since. As the troops entered the German concentration camps, they made a systematic film record of what they saw. Work began in the summer of 1945 on the documentary, but the film was left unfinished. FRONTLINE found it stored in a vault of London's Imperial War Museum and, on May 7th, 1985, broadcast it for the first time using the title the Imperial War Museum gave it, "Memory of the Camps."

The Oklahoma Daily Online Edition - Be part of No Pants Day
May 6, 2005, a day that will live in infamy. How many of you are sick and tired of your boring unadulterated life? How many of you are tired of being constricted, of being controlled by "the man"? I know Eve screwed things up for all of us, but this is a chance to get a glimpse into the way the world should have been: pantless. For those of you who don't keep up with the important news stories, the first Friday of May will be International No Pants Day. Why No Pants Day? Quite simply put, by the Knighthood of BUH, "when large groups of people parade around in public without their pants, amazing things are bound to happen."
Now HERE'S a holiday I could enjoy!! (UPDATE: No Pants Day Observances )

Band Banned From Performing 'Louie Louie' - Yahoo! News
BENTON HARBOR, Mich. - A pop culture controversy that has simmered for decades came to a head when a middle school marching band was told not to perform "Louie Louie." Benton Harbor Superintendent Paula Dawning cited the song's allegedly raunchy lyrics in ordering the McCord Middle School band not to perform it in Saturday's Grand Floral Parade, held as part of the Blossomtime Festival.
Say it isn't true......all these years, I didn't know this song had raunchy lyrics???????? All I was ever able to decipher was "oh baby" and a couple of "yeah, yeah"s.
