Is spring sprung?

maybe...although I've learned to not trust these late February early March thaws. It's not quite shirtsleeves weather, even for us tough 'ole Wisconsin types. The backyard is a quagmire of melting ice and lose-your-boots mud, although the snowbanks are still six feet tall. There is that new, fresh smell to the air--mixed with the odors of last years' rotting vegetation and wandering, lovestruck skunks.
