
Taken in the Porcupine Mountains, on the Presque Isle River.
The rain finally stopped today, so it was a perfect day to get out and take a few pics. The colors up north aren't quite as gaudy as they are here, surprisingly. One of the locals told me that the big lake regulates the temperatures a little more closely, so that it's actually warmer on the shore than further south and inland. I'm not sure whether that's true or whether it explains the color variation, but it certainly sounds good to me.
